Precision Gem

Gem 1256 - Blue Sapphire - 2.08 ct. This stone is from Sri Lanka and is one that I re-cut from a native cut stone. It's a medium blue with a slight violet color. The new cut is my Jua round, and is a complete recut. I don't like to just correct a window, but prefer to recut the entire stone so that every facet is perfectly polished and the stone has perfect symmetry and cut. The stone measures 6.81 mm. The stone has been heated only. If desired, I can send it to the AGL lab for a cert. Only the cost of the cert and postage would be added to the price, with no mark up for the service.

Gem 1254 - Winza Sapphire - 1.38 ct. A very pretty vivid purple sapphire from the famous Winza location in Tanzania. This stone is cut in a round design I call the Venetian Round. It's similar to my Jua round but with 8 less facets, which makes it ideal for smaller stones. These Winza sapphires are very unique stones, as they often have both blue and red in them as this one does. The colors mix an produce a vivid purple. The stone measures 6.4 mm. NO heat or any other treatments.

Gem 1238 - Montana Sapphire - 0.84 ct. A quirky orange/pink stone from the Missouri River in Montana. This one is 5.414 mm and has been heated. The crystal is a little cloudy on it, so only a clarity rating of 7.

Gem 1206 - Winza Sapphire - 1.86 ct. This is a mixed color sapphire from Winza Tanzania. The area produced these stones that have both red and blue parts to them. This one is mostly a pinkish red but with some blue areas. The colors kind of mix and the stone looks a purple red color, but if you look close you will see the blue pieces inside. The stone is a little short of eye clean, in normal viewing it will look clean. A very interesting stone. Click here to see some nice examples of these Winza stones in the rough.

Gem 817 - Purple Sapphire - 1.63 ct. A pretty purple stone from Umba Tanzania. This one is all natural with no heat or other treatments. The stone measures 6.77 mm. As is the case with most of the Umba sapphires, it has some very fine needles, however the stone faces up clean.

Gem 770 - Blue Sapphire - 1.72 ct. This is a light blue sapphire from Umba Tanzania. The stone is all natural no heat or other treatments. The color is a light steel blue, and it measures 6.88 mm. There are a few needles, and small bubbles that can be seen with a loop, but the stone faces up well.
