On this page are a selection of custom cut garnets that
are various shades of oranges. These will include
Spessartite, Malaya, Hessonite, and
other Grossularite Garnets. Garnets
are the birthstone for January, and a bright orange
stone is a nice change from the more commonly seen red
stones. Garnets have a harness of 7 to 7.5
Gem 739 - Spessartite Garnet
1.95 ct. A very bright fanta orange spessartite from Tanzania.
Gem 738 - Spessartite Garnet
1.95 ct. This new find in Tanzania is producing the hottest colored stones coming out of East Africa
Gem 624 - Malaya Garnet
1.9 ct. This Malaya is more on the orange side, and is cut with concave facets on the pavilion.
Gem 599 - Malaya Garnet
1.48 ct. This one is a modified round, with some extra cutting on the crown.
Gem - 539 - Spessartite Garnet
3.05 cts. I was able to pick up a few really nice pieces of rough spessartites this year. These Mandarin colors are very hard to find.

1.62 ct - This is a trillion with a few concave cuts on the pavilion
